Define Your Visiting HoursTip 3:  Define your “visiting hours.” If you work at home, you likely experience the frustration of family members popping in and out of your office at unexpected times. Make it clear that while you’re working, trivial interruptions must wait until your scheduled break time.  Post “office hours” outside the room, or hang a “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door to keep interruptions to a minimum.  If your workspace is set up in a highly trafficked area, try reducing noise by using noise-blocking headphones. Separating your workspace with a curtain or a bookshelf can also help maximize your privacy.
